Three years ago when I first began the journey as an entrepreneur I met my partner online, who was also looking for a new way of life. Something more than the standard society rules which are placed upon us. We were both searching for freedom.
We decided to take the journey together but it wasn’t all smooth sailing and dream-like….. Although we had each other, we both had different ideas and found that working and living together was quite stressful. In a way, I took it for granted that we shared the same vision and that I had Derren for support. sometimes I still do.
After learning, trying and testing various methods of making money online, we developed our own style and worked mainly separately. I used to work in a very large entrepreneurial environment and was always surrounded by people. Two years after giving all that up and working predominantly on my own, I realized how difficult it is to work alone, discipline yourself and not go crazy! Lol.
After meeting the Divas – Sarah and Kay, I began working as part of a team and it has completely changed me for the better. I have learned so much about myself. What my strengths are, what I’m lacking in, how to step back and listen and more importantly, how to work together in harmony and produce amazing results. It has also improved the way Derren and I work together as he has been helping us lots on the technical and video side and we have established a real harmony with what we are doing, both separately and now together too.
When trying to do everything on my own I was not progressing like I should have, for the amount of self education I had undertaken. Since working with the Divas I have taken action and progressed more in 3 weeks than the whole 3 years online. Here are some tips as to why a support system will help you with your own success:
- You will take more action when other people depend on you
- You will progress faster with a support network
- You don’t have to have all the skills, as each person in your support network brings something different and new to the table
- You can talk through your fears and not let them hold you back
- You can move further out of your comfort zone knowing you have a safety net and someone to give you feedback. This is so important for growth
- You make new, valuable friends on the same path as you, who truly understand you
- You develop your social skills by talking and listening to other people
- You enter in to a mastermind of people to help bring you forward and teach you
- You attract more people to you than doing everything alone and trying to be an expert
So don’t feel alone. There is no need. An entrepreneurs journey can be amazing when you share it with other people.

Hey Carly,
Isn't it interesting how certain things come into one's life when one starts thinking differently…? Must be that Law of Attraction Marketing that you're so good at.
I say that because I'm at exactly the stage you found yourself at before you met 'the Divas'. I realised that for all my knowledge and abilities, I wasn't progressing as fast as I could be. I'm now doing more and more outsourcing to others, many of whom are better at those jobs than I am because they're specialists.
I love your bullet points on how to get through this stage using a support system. I've been reading an awesome book called Influence by Robert Cialdini and your first bullet point could be straight from his thinking. Having others who depend on you (or at least require you to do something) is very powerful, as I've seen with the comments on my own blog.
I'm very pleased for you that you and the Divas have got together to produce a stronger, happier team. I look forward to seeing you all on stage, tearing it up at a social media summit!

You can certainly see your expertise in the work you write. The arena hopes for more passionate writers like you who are not afraid to say how they believe. Always go after your heart. “Everyone has his day and some days last longer than others.” by Sir Winston Leonard Spenser Churchill.
